Leadership Coaching FAQs
Understanding Coaching
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
Coaching is for anyone ready to step forward, explore possibilities, and take intentional action toward their goals. If you’re seeking clarity, confidence, or growth in leadership or life transitions, coaching can help.
Do I need to be in a leadership position to benefit from coaching?
Not at all. Coaching supports anyone who wants to grow, regardless of title or role.
How is coaching different from therapy or mentoring?
- Therapy focuses on healing the past.
- Mentoring offers advice based on someone else’s path.
- Coaching is a collaborative partnership that helps you move forward with your goals and unlock your full potential through reflection, practical strategies, and a strengths-based, growth mindset approach.
What challenges can coaching help with?
Coaching can focus on, but is not limited to, navigating the challenges of moving through change, building confidence, communication and relationships, leadership presence, strategic decision-making, boundaries and wellbeing, and managing complexity.
Can coaching be applied to personal life challenges, as well as workplace or professional issues?
Many of my clients explore both. Coaching is holistic and grounded in what matters most to you — professionally and personally.

Working Together
What can I expect in a coaching session?
Each session is tailored to your needs and focuses on what matters most right now – to you. You can expect honesty, non-judgement and professionalism from me within a space that encourages you to explore your thoughts, ideas and dreams. You’ll gain insight, practical tools, and clear next steps you can apply immediately in leadership and life.
How often are sessions scheduled?
Most clients meet weekly or biweekly. We’ll set a schedule that keeps progress steady, achievable and fits with your life.
How long is a coaching partnership?
Most clients work with me for 3–6 months to support sustainable change. Short-term or high-stakes single sessions are also available.
Can coaching help me prepare for a promotion or career change?
Absolutely — coaching clarifies direction and strengthens the skills, presence, and confidence needed to step into what’s next.
Can I combine coaching with other professional development programs?
Yes. Coaching enhances learning by helping you apply insights and accelerate development.
What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule a session?
I respectfully ask for 24 hours advance notice so your progress isn’t impacted, and I can manage my schedule. I also understand that sometimes life just happens! Keeping in touch ensures we are all on the same page.
Practicalities
Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?
Yes — virtual sessions are available anywhere. In-person coaching may be arranged if viable. We can discuss this during your Discovery Call.
Is coaching confidential?
Yes — I follow the ICF Code of Ethics to ensure professionalism, trust, and complete confidentiality. The only exception is in cases of safety concerns.
How do I pay for coaching sessions?
Payment options are discussed during your discovery call and include PayPal or e-transfer at this time.
Are your rates flexible?
Yes — I offer tiered pricing, package savings, and a limited sliding scale for non-profit or emerging leaders. We’ll choose the best fit during our first conversation.

Benefits & Results
Is coaching worth it, and what results can I expect?
Absolutely. Coaching is an investment in people—and when people grow, so does performance. Leaders who engage in coaching often experience measurable improvements in clarity, communication, and confidence, which lead to stronger teams, better decisions, and tangible outcomes such as higher engagement, productivity, and organizational impact.
What’s the evidence?
Research-backed results from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) show the following measurable benefits of executive coaching:
Individual Performance (↑70%)
- Better goal achievement
- Clearer communication
- Higher job satisfaction
Team Performance (↑50%)
- Stronger collaboration
- More effective conversations
- Improved team results
Organizational Performance (↑48%)
- Increased revenue

What’s the personal return from the coaching experience?
While Return on Investment (ROI) measures tangible results, personal return reflects the experience of coaching – the journey. Coaching with Pathways Leadership is about transformation from the inside out—greater self-awareness, renewed purpose, and deeper alignment between values and action. Clients often describe this as feeling more grounded, authentic, and inspired in how they lead and live.
How do we get started?
We begin with a free discovery call to explore your goals, and ensure coaching is the right fit for you. And that we are the right fit for each other. I believe that in order for you to get what you want from coaching there needs to be an ease between us that allows you to feel comfortable to look openly and honestly at what you need and how to get to where you want to be. Discovery calls are commitment free.
